I mean, you can choose to sympathize with the decision -- Wilco's music remains unknown to much of the mainstream -- but selling songs to car ads is by definition a sell-out. You're accepting money in exchange for letting someone repurpose your art. What was conceived as personal expression is now a vehicle (so to speak) for selling cars.
